Our Thanksgiving....

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving & ate lots of yummy food!  We spent most of the week out of town, which was wonderful!

Wednesday night after I got off work we headed down to the beach...

I had thought that it would be better off to travel at night rather than wake up early on Thursday to head down.

Perhaps I was wrong. Poor Maddox stayed awake most of the ride down which made the 4 hours not the most pleasant.  However, of course he crashed 30 minutes before arriving...

It was after Midnight when we arrived and we were all completely exhausted....well except for Maddox who must have gotten his second wind from the cat nap.  The child would not sleep in the crib...and preceded to bounce all over the bed for 2 HOURS...

 Seriously!!!

Not much sleep!

But, I am super excited...Black Friday Shopping was a success (well almost).  There's nothing like getting up at 3:20 and heading to the mall.  I did get the 2 pairs of boots I had eyed in the Belks ad (with a little bit of fighting).  However, the toy that I had eyed in the Target ad was completely gone (still sad about that one). But I am happy to say I have a good start on Christmas shopping.

And because no post is complete without pictures...

(Ignore the fact that I hadn't showered or fixed my hair (plus I had gotten up the day before at 3:20) and Maddox still had his PJ's on)

The beach was absolutely gorgeous!



Our family of 4! It's so hard to believe that next year Emma will be 8 months old...

Maddox absolutely loved walking along the beach.
