The Ambulance Ride

Oh yes, that's right this past week there was an ambulance ride for Maddox. Definitely not something you ever want your child to have to ride on.

Two weeks ago Maddox had bronchiolitis, in fact they wanted to admit him to the hospital then but after several breathing treatments he turned the corner.

On Monday we visited our pediatrician for a follow up from that as well as our flu shot. But on Tuesday we started having a runny nose. We hoped it was nothing....but on Wednesday night we were wheezing a tad so we resumed breathing treatments.  But by Thursday afternoon when Josh got home from work (I was at work) he was wheezing & working very hard to breath. So, off to the doctor he went....
needless to say within 30 minutes my husband called to say they were in an ambulance on the way to the hospital (where I was at work).  Definitely not something you ever want to hear.

At the doctor's office he had 2 back to back breathing treatments without any affect. He was retracting, working very hard to breath , "spacing out" & his oxygen levels were too low. Which bought him an ambulance ride.

After a chest x-ray it was determined he had pneumonia, poor little guy!

Praise God we only spent one night in the hospital and seem to be on the mend. We head back to the doctor tomorrow for a follow up.

Please keep us in your prayers as Maddox continues to heal. And after spending most of last night up with Emma pray that her "cold" gets better.

Awww :( I will be saying Prayers for him and your family tonight!

When I was about his age I got pneumonia and was hospitalized for about a week... it was so bad that they had to tie me down and stick an IV in my forehead (because they couldn't get it in my arms or hands). But I made a full and speedy recover and have had zero health or breathing issues arise from it :)

In my Prayers!

Poor guy...and poor mama! I spent Friday night at the ER with my 5-month old. She has pneumonia, too, along with croup. Praying both our babies get better!
