I Missed It!

I didn't actually forget about the blog hop yesterday...I was just too exhausted after working my 12 hour shift. So, I think I'll jump on the bandwagen today. However, this is a hard one. How can I possibly pick one favorite recipe? I'm a girl that likes to cook, remember? But being I love to put a picture with my recipe...I'll just pick a "favorite" recipe that I have a picture for.

Sundrop Cake

(I have made this cake many times...it gets a lot of requests)

6 oz Sundrop

1 tsp lemon flavoring

2 sticks butter

1 tsp vanilla

3 c sugar

1/2 c Crisco

5 eggs, added 1 at a time

3 c. flour

Cream sugar, oil & btter. Add eggs one at at time. Add flour and Sundrop alternately. Add flavorings. Mix well. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour 15 minutes

Frosting:

2 c confectioner's sugar

2 Tbsp butter

2 oz Sundrop

Head enough to melt the butter and put on cake while cake is hot.
