Getting a Bit Crafty

Honestly, I had planned on having a lot more done this early to Little M's birthday....but it just hasn't happened.  I have however made a birthday hat and a birthday wreath.  So, there's just a few more "crafty" things to come.  I've got tons of things up my sleeve to hopefully make his 1st BIRTHDAY a success...but I don't want to give "too much" away before the actual day.... So, you'll just have to keep coming back to see how it turns out.

The idea for the wreath I stole from a couple other blogs (A Blissful Nest and As The Foreste Grows) but I thought it was just so cute not to do....and it was so fun and easy.

Here is the list of what you will need:

-round styrofoam wreath

-glue gun

-tissue paper- cut rectangles of 5X7

-scissors or letter opener (something pointy to punch holes in the styrofoam)

1. take your 5X7 rectangles of tissue and gather so you have a point at the bottom (as seen in the picture below). Then twist the point.
2.  Take your letter opener and make a small round hole in the styrofoam- about 1/2" diameter. Fill the hole with glue and put point end of tissue paper into glue filled hole. Just make lots of holes close to each other so the tissue will look full and close together

I ended up doing 3 rows...and think it turned out just right...
