My Brest Friend Review... A Nursing Mother's MUST HAVE

I suppose everyone has their "must have's" but with baby #3 on the way  it is most definitely is a
My Brest Friend nursing pillow.

My Brest Friend was so generous to send me one of their deluxe pillow's in the gorgeous Fireworks print.

And not only is the print so pretty, it is made of the softest material. The perfect type of material to put up against your delicate newborn's skin. Especially being the most ideal way to breastfeed a newborn is to strip him/her down to just her diaper. So it makes perfect sense to have a soft material.

The first time around I must say I was "afraid" of the Brest Friend pillow. I had seen them & I knew that our hospital's lactation consultants recommended them. I thought having a piece that went around you would be uncomfortable & cumbersome. Boy was I wrong. I did have a nursing pillow with Maddox but I also suffered from the back pain that can go along with breast feeding.
The first thing I noticed with the My Brest Friend was that I had a lot less back pain & discomfort. The back rest (that I thought I would hate) helps maintain good posture which ultimately prevents the sore back & neck.

Another plus that this Momma loves is that the curvature of the center part is ideal for c-section tummies which is exactly what I will have.

I also love the fact that it has a pocket unlike the other pillows I have tried. If you've ever been trapped in the middle of a feeding you know exactly what I mean. Five minutes in you realize you forgot your burp cloth or your water bottle. And no mother wants to stop their baby from feeding to run get them.

From my experience I also LOVE the fact that the front is not only firm & flat (to prevent your baby from rolling off) but it is roomy enough for them to actually lay there.

If there was one item that I had to have for baby Hudson
it would definitely be a My Brest Friend pillow.

Having twins...they have a pillow for you as well

Sore nipples afterwards...because let's face it they're going to happen.

Burp cloths, nursing stools (will be using one with Hudson), nursing covers...all of your breastfeeding needs.

So, if you or someone you know plans to breastfeed...My Brest Friend is your perfect stop.

And they're also offering 20% off until February 9th...

I promise you won't regret it!

Balboa Nursing Pillow Review & {GIVEAWAY}

To launch off the
BABY EXTRAVAGANZA
event I'm excited to bring you

A company that designs contemporary, unique products using luxurious fabrics and distinctive prints.
Shirley Pepys, founder of Noel Joanna Inc. NoJo) and her son Noel Pepys have teamed up with Dr. William Sears, best known as "American Pediatrician," to create fashionable and functional products to make life simpler for parents and better for babies.

If there's one thing that I know I need after having 2 babies it is a nursing pillow. Especially during those first few weeks & months. Not only does it save your back but it makes breastfeeding a tad easier. Even though this will be my third baby I expect breastfeeding will still be challenging during those first couple of weeks. Each baby is different! And each baby has to learn how to breastfeed. So, I'm super excited to try out the Balboa Baby Nursing Pillow.
And with all of their gorgeous prints, I can be styling as well!

They were so kind to send me a pillow in the gorgeous Suri print which I love!!
Honestly, the picture doesn't even do justice to the print. It is perfect for boy or girl and perfect for that stylish mom (which I like to think is me).

Not only do I love their prints but I love the contoured design! One thing important to breastfeeding is that you have the baby rolled in toward you the mother. So, their contoured design helps to encourage the correct feeding position!! It naturally rolls the baby towards you.

Another thing that I know is A MUST after having 2 other children is that everything needs to be easy care. And that's exactly what their pillow is. The cover is removable, 100% cotton, and machine washable!!

Another thing that is A MUST is simplicity! When you have a hungry screaming baby the last thing you want is complicated. Their pillow is so simple, no buckles or straps. Simply slide it up against you...the baby naturally rolls in...and the rest is up to you!

Other than the gorgeous fabric, one of the first things I noticed was how soft & comfortable the pillow felt. It is firm but yet soft. The perfect place for your baby to lay during a feeding. And perfect for all those times your baby falls asleep after nursing when you just want them to lay there so you can stare at their perfection (what mom doesn't enjoy that).

Balboa Baby also offers a wide array of other awesome products including their adjustable sling, nursing cover (another must), high chair cover, shopping cart cover (which we have & love), stroller liner, & Balboa bags.

From looking at their site, one of the things I fell in love with was their bags. Such gorgeous prints & with a duffle bag, messenger bag & tote bag you have a perfect set.

Balboa Baby has also generously offered to give
ONE LUCKY FOLLOWER
the chance
TO WIN A NURSING PILLOW
in their choice of fabric!!

Bebe au Lait Giveaway

As Emma's birth gets closer & closer it's time to check off the must-have's...which includes a nursing cover.
After not having one with Maddox I realized that this time around it was a must.  I by no means plan to nurse in public (nothing wrong with those that do), that's just not me.  But what about those times when you're riding down the road pumping or nursing in the backseat of the car while sitting in a parking lot.  Oh yes, all the things you don't think about before you're a mommy.

But with so many to choose from where did I even begin??
Every store is full with different ones of all different prices.

So, what's the difference??? After talking with other mom's I've realized some barely cover you.
And what's the point of that.  Why use a cover if it doesn't serve the purpose?

But after having the chance to review a nursing cover from Bebe au Lait I knew I had found a keeper.

Not only do their covers come in super cute prints such as Chateau Endive (picture above) like I received
but they are such a wonderful size so they are sure to serve the purpose.

Plus, I absolutely love the fact that they have 2 Terrycloth interior pockets for storage of breast pads or pacifiers.

Plus, another great feature is their unique rigid neckline that not only allows for ventilation but for direct eye contact with your baby.  Which is especially important in the beginning while your newborn is still learning how to breastfeed correctly.

Absolutely the best cover around; it is definitely going in my hospital bag!

Bebe au Lait has been so generous to offer ONE LUCKY follower the chance to win
their very own nursing cover
