Packing for the Hospital

Being this is my third baby & third time packing for the hospital you would think I knew what I was doing...honestly I find myself wondering what to bring though.

But, it is always so much fun taking all those things you've been collecting for your new baby so I enjoy doing it so much!

And being last week I fell victim to the Petunia Pickle Bottom outlet sale, I will be packing Hudson's things in my new lovely.

And even though the hospital provides newborn shirts, I can't resist taking my own newborn clothes.
I'm dying to get some of his monogrammed goodies on him
1.  Newborn clothes (gowns & onesies are great) : including a going home & picture outfit
2.  Socks and/or booties to keep those footsies warm
3. Cute newborn hats, as you see I've packed 4 :)
4. Burp cloths (made by yours truly)
5. Monogrammed blanket
6.  My delivery gown (from Posh Pushers) & coordinating tie onesie that I made...why not look cute when everyone comes to see you. Plus as a mother/baby nurse I refuse to wear one of our hospital gowns.
7.  Nursing pillow (my favorite is a My Brest Friend) & nursing cover (for when visitors come by)

And don't forget a carseat!

I would also include a few breatfeeding necessities such as breast pads (your milk may not come in until you go home but better safe than sorry) & lanolin. Lanolin will definitely be your best friend during though first couple of weeks if you're breastfeeding.

And of course you must include some things for yourself:

1.  Comfy clothes (that's the key) including nursing friendly PJ's
(because I refuse to wear a hospital gown)
nursing bra's & undies

2. Toiletries: makeup, straightner, brushes, shampoo & conditioner (hospital grade is not great), deodorant, lotion, hair ties, etc.

3.  Shoes. Slip on is best because even if you didn't experience swelling during pregnancy you may afterwards. I will be taking my Rainbows to wear around the room.

The hospital provides ugly mesh undies but who wants to mess their own up so I definitely wear those in the beginning including the HUGE monster pads.

I will also be including:
camera & back up battery
purse with ID & insurance card
Laptop & charger
Phone & charger
My pillow
Baby Book

I will also be taking big brother & big sister a little gift from Hudson to make them feel special!

I think that's about it!
What do you pack when you have a baby?!?!

Another Sneak Peek at Hudson's Nursery

6 Weeks from today (or less) baby Hudson will join our family!
We are getting so excited anticipating his arrival.
And of course with a new baby comes yet another nursery that I'm dying to show off.

It is yet to be completed...I'm thinking some navy long curtains & perhaps some paper lanterns to hang above the crib. Not really sure. But for now wanted to give another glimpse into Hudson's room.

And of course he needed a monogram to complete his room...so I was so excited to come across
after coming across some of her prints on pinterest.

She was so awesome to coordinate along with bedding to make the perfect set of prints for his room.
She was amazing to work with! Super fast, great communication & an awesome product!

I love being able to glance down the hall & see this!
Thanks so much!

And just to prove how awesome the prints match...take a look!

I can't wait to share the completed project & of course to get baby Hudson into his new room.

32 Weeks...A Preggo Post & Maternity Pic Sneak Peek

Despite the fact that I'm actually 33 weeks as of tomorrow...I'm doing a 32 Week Post.
I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. Just the thought that I will become a mom of 3 in just 6 weeks 3 days is CRAZY! I'm super excited to meet the little guy and at the same time I don't know what I'm going to do. I know, I know...I will manage but there's those moments that I'm just not sure how I will do it. Emma is quite the "little miss". She LOVE to be held. Just yesterday I managed to go in Walmart, push the cart with Maddox in it & hold Emma throughout the entire store all while she held her baby doll. Needless to say I was sweating. She is just something else.

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 32 Weeks (33 tomorrow)
Size of baby: Baby H is approximately 4 lbs 5 oz
Maternity Clothes: Yes
Gender:A Boy, Hudson James.
Movement: Getting stronger! I feel like he is getting so big.
Sleep: I think I'm getting accustomed to the numerous bathroom trips. I feel exhauted pretty much all the time.
Cravings: Mexican food.
Symptons: reflux, irregular contractions, exhaustion..I think I'm at the fun stage, lol
Best Moment this week: doing maternity pictures & seeing him on the ultrasound and because I have failed to mention it the c-section is scheduled!

And now for a sneak peek...

I knew I had to do maternity pictures this time. It's one of those things I think I don't want to do & then afterwards I regret it. So, third time is the charm. And lucky for me this awesome photographer has teamed up with the hospital I work at to photograph maternity & children pictures to decorate our floor. :) She truly has such an eye for the "right picture" so if you're anywhere near the Charlotte, NC area I highly recommend Michelle Neira photography

And talking about photography be sure to check out my best friends photography page, Shutter Farm Portraits  because she will be giving away a FREE 16x20 canvas very soon.

And I know I've really been lacking lately but I have several super awesome things coming up that you definitely won't want to miss. Reviews, giveaways & more!

A Nursery Sneak Peek...Funny Farm Creations Review

With only 7 weeks to go the nursery is starting to come together. Seriously, only SEVEN weeks or less until Hudson makes his appearance.

I debated whether to use the bedding that I had with Maddox but when I came across Carousel Designs & found a navy & citron chevron blend I fell in love. I knew it was perfect for Hudson's nursery.

I'm on the search for the finishing touches. I feel like something needs to hang above his crib to complete the room...maybe paper lanterns!?!
Opinions people!

I have found a few perfect additions that make the room "perfect"...including an awesomely cute blanket from
Funny Farm Creations

When I searched for navy chevron I came across her shop & immediately fell in love with this blanket which is the perfect size not only for his crib but carseat & stroller as well.
A blanket that we can carry everywhere!

And how perfectly does it match.
I'm not a big themesy person so I didn't want to overdue it with any animal or theme but I LOVE the addition of the alligator.

And I've always LOVED minky so I'm so excited that one side is a soft white minky.

The perfect addition for Hudson's nursery.

Be sure to visit Funny Farm Creations on Facebook & blog to check out her other blankets & items. I'm sure you can find something perfect for your little one or the perfect gift. She offers tons of very cute blankets & other items.

Baby H #3 ---15 Weeks Bump Update

Wow, this pregnancy is just flying by so I thought I better get to taking some pictures. Would hate for Baby#3 not to have any. So, if only for myself here it is.

This past Saturday I turned 15 weeks....

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 15 Weeks
Size of baby: Baby H is the size of an apple
Total Weight Gain/Loss: Honestly, I'm trying not to keep up with it...every pound is worth it. And after 2 previous pregnancies I know it will come off.
Maternity Clothes: My regular jeans fit but they seem to hit in such a funny place on my belly that they cut in and make my stomach look weird. So, I pretty much wear maternity.
Gender: Honestly, I think BOY but the hubs thinks girl. We shall see!
Movement: I'm pretty sure I have been feeling some flutters. Can't wait to feel the bigger movements.
Sleep: So so...I really haven't been waking up for potty breaks which is weird to me. I started very early with Emma but I usually make it until my alarm goes off.
What I miss: having energy & not throwing up
Cravings: Mexican food mainly.
Symptons: Still the occasional nausea but I think it's getting better. Exhaustion.
Best Moment this week: Hearing Maddox & Emma call the baby by a name (even if it's what the hubs has them calling a girl)
